Here are examples from some of the classes I taught.
Commercial Art 1
(Intro to Design) Initials into pattern Reflection: Students learned some design basics while working with their own initials. They then use a similar pattern in Photoshop. Commercial Art 2
(Advertising & Design) Illustrator iMe Reflection: The iMe project is a tool review assignment, in Photoshop, for second level Commercial Art Students. They had to take portraits of themselves in various activities, turn them into silhouettes and add a background. This project gives us a glimpse of their activities and personalities. Commercial Art 3
(Industrial Design) Digital Drawing Reflection: Commercial Art three students are beginning to focus on individual designs for a pre-AP portfolio. This student imported a drawing and colorized with the computer. |
Foundation Art
Still Life Reflection: Student learned layout basics and practiced drawing from still life objects that they arranged. AP Art
Reflection: AP students work on individual projects. This student earned college credit for his 2-D Design portfolio that focused on she designs highlighting a variety of art history eras. |
Printmaking
Continuous Print Reflection: Students continued using a relief print, but learned how to create a continuous print, similar to how wrapping paper and wall paper are created. These large prints were used to make a cover for their printmaking album. IB Art
Individual Work Reflection: International Baccalaureate students design and create their own work, based on research of other artists and experimentation with media. This student used Illustrator to draw and paint from an original drawing. |
